Practicum and Embodiment of Native Healing and Diagnosis Techniques

A retreat for ECC Healing Intensive Graduates and Advanced Practitioners

with Jeff Firewalker, PhD and Cynthia Bergh, DC

In this weekend retreat you will be supported in deepening your understanding of what it means to be an advanced practitioner of the healing arts.  You will learn and practice methodologies from the Curandero and Andean nature mysticism traditions of South America, and expand your sense of purpose when in a place of service to the wellbeing of another individual.

To prepare for supporting others in their healing process, you will first tap into your embodied resources, ground into your innate intelligence, and open your body’s sensory system.  You will learn to deepening your diagnostic capacity using a variety of tools, including the traditional open altar (mesa). You will practice the use of divination and tracking to facilitate deeper service to those in need.

We will also learn and practice a wide variety of healing techniques (the chonta limpia, stone limpia, smoke limpia, egg limpia, extraction methods, poq’po techniques, identification of bodily anchor points holding trauma and organ reading). Introductory bio-energetic integration (popularly known as soul retrieval) will also be covered and practiced.

The concluding chapter of this retreat will explore the larger content of healing rhythms to deepen your understanding of embodied self care, timing of various techniques, and the evolution of practitioner/client dynamic to support the expansive growth.

The Program

Begins Friday, August 7th at 6:30 pm and closes 3:30 pm Sunday, August 8th.

Module 1: Your nervous system processes massive data from every interaction with others, communicating in a universal language shared by all living beings.  Here, you will learn the principles of this living language.  Prepare yourself for the weekend’s teachings by increasing your embodied awareness and inner resources.  Deepen your capacity to allow nature’s intelligence to inform your actions.  Open your senses, integrate subconscious wisdom, sourcing from deeper instincts, and developing greater capacity for recognition.  Strengthen your internal integrity for skillfully navigating projection and maintaining the healing focus amidst turbulent energies.

Module 2:  Apprenticeship session: the chonta limpia, stone limpia, smoke limpia, egg limpia, extraction methods, poq’po techniques, identification of bodily anchor points holding trauma and organ reading.

Module 3: Tobacco Ceremony and Practice Session

Module 4:  Apprenticeship in bioenergetic integration (soul retrieval) and related techniques.

Module 5:  Source service from a deeper understanding of human rhythms, engagement of embodied resources, and stages of consciousness and their connections within our bodies.  Explore the seasons of humanity and understand our natural alignment with the self organizing principles of life.  This module will build on the experience of the first session.

Module 6: Closing Ceremony.
